| COMING SOON! Preventing Falls: Keeping Patients Safe
| | New compliance course coming soon! The purpose of this course is to provide nurses with an understanding of who is at risk for trips and falls in a hospital and how to prevent them. Falls among older patients and other-at-risk patients are very common. Among people over 65, falls kills about 8,500 Americans every year. In institutions, more than half of those with high risk factors fall every year. And one out of ten of these falls results in a serious injury. This course will help you identify risk factors for falls, both in the patient population and in the hospital environment, and it will help you take steps to prevent falls.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this course, please contact Donna Meeks, Director of Training, at dsmeeks@windstream.net.
